Forest honey is from assorted flora and fauna in Rwanda’s pristine forests. The natural sweetness has caramel and fruity notes with aromatic, herbal flavours, suggesting the rich forests in which the bees forage. The deep amber coloured honey is treacly, but also refreshing, you feel it’s "doing you good".
This honey pairs well with acidic fruit such as pineapple, mango, kiwi fruit, strawberry, and is a delectable topping for bread, pancakes, oats and yoghurt. Almost reminiscent of an aged whiskey, the honey will be that secret ingredient to a flavourful sauce or marinade.
